BLOOD SIMPLE
Captured by Hydra, Peter Parker finds himself locked in a cell with Morbius the Living Vampire. With the creature consumed by bloodlust, Morbius lunges at Peter. While in a nearby lab, Hydra subjects the novice hero known as SHOC to tests so they can unlock the secrets of his powers. As Peter struggles for his life, minions of Don Fortunato watch in amusement. They might not understand why their boss has associated their gang with Hydra, but they are entertained by the results. Meanwhile, Doctor Andrea Janson provides a status update to Don Fortunato, who asks his master if he is happy with the results so far. Emerging from the shadows is Baron Strucker, the leader of Hydra, who tells the Don that he is not happy at all. However, he explains that he will never be happy until Hydra has made itself the most powerful terrorist organization in the world and complains that this project is taking too long. Having to report back to operations in Asia, Baron Strucker leaves Fortunato in charge, hoping that things in New York can continue without his direct supervision. Crown also hopes that his lover, Doctor Janesn, succeeds as in his current condition he does not have much life left. After she assures him that she will succeed, Crown teleports Baron Strucker away. As all this is happening, nobody is aware an army of armed men is storming Don Fortunato’s Long Island compound. While down in the holding cell, Peter continues to struggle with Morbius. As he fights back, he reminds himself that Morbius isn’t naturally an evil person, that he suffers from a rare blood disease.[Continuity 1] Just when Peter can’t hold out anymore, the armed men storming the facility blast the guards and then enter the cell, blasting Morbius as well. Just as Peter is about to thank the people who have come to rescue him his spider-sense begins going off. That’s when he sees who is in charge of this group of rescuers and is blasted into unconsciousness as well. They then break into the lab and takes out everyone inside before leaving with SHOC. When Crown and Don Fortunato return home a half-hour later, the mobster is furious that someone is interfering with his plans. Crown is also furious because his beloved Andrea is dead — and with it all hopes of being restored
